    New here from CA

I am starting to take up knitting again and finally found this forum! I have knitted in the past (as a teenager - knit, purl, and cables), and now I am teaching myself new things. I have almost finished my first sock ever, I am knitting stuffed toys for the children for christmas, and I am planning an Aran sweater.

I have 2 small children, and other than knitting, I like to bake my own bread, read, and go hiking :)

    Cheers,

    Gunda

     Hi from Nova Scotia...

I'm sure you will enjoy Knitting Daily. It's nice how it links people from so far apart who share this love of knitting!

I really like to learn new things too...keeps life interesting!

My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 6. (51 now) I didn't really appreciate it @ the time (it was her idea/ not mine)...but certainly do now! I had a long bus ride to school so knit mitts for pocket $....+ I haven't stopped knitting since. Both machine + hand...+ a mixture.

My husband + best friend (32 1/2 yrs married) would have to be top of my list...w/ knitting hanging on his heels. Luckily he started rug hooking about 4 yrs ago so he kind of gets my obsession! I also love to read too. Did bake all our bread @ one time...but life got overwhelming. Health issues limit me now Enviro + fibromyalgia but I still knit...LOTS!!!

I wish you well finding enough time to knit all you want w/ small kids...been there! How young? Maybe you can get them hooked too?!?!

      Take care,   Andrea
