I too am really enjoying fulling of thriftstore sweater finds and also articles I've knit! The thriftstore finds I usually cut up to make dog coats, as a fund raiser for the local SPCA, so I don't care if they keep their shape. My problem lies in the things I knit to be fulled from patterns and they shrink in one dimension (usually rows v's stitches) way more than the other. I just finished a really nice hat for a frying pan if anyone needs one!!
So I suppose what I'm asking is - Is there a formula or something to use when you've fulled your swatch to decide on using less stitches etc. This makes following a pattern difficult.
Any suggestions welcome.
