Hi there,

i'd like to share an exciting yarn project with you all in which you can take part and have your knitting or crochet on display at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre UK ..

About the project

Yarn Forward is an instillation project co-ordinated and installed by ArtYarn and made by knitters and crocheters from around the world.

ArtYarn invite you to knit or crochet decorative strips of yarn for the instillation ‘Yarn Forward’ at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. See images of the projects progress here http://artyarn-yarnforward.blogspot.com/

ArtYarn are installing a yarn wrapping round the 1st Floor banister of the Manchester Craft and Design Centre to celebrate the many versatilities and techniques of knitting and crochet from around the world.

How to take part:

Knit or crochet your knitted strip to measure 7cm wide x 40 cm long. Any colour, yarn and technique is accepted, the brighter and wackier, the better.
Write us a small note stating your name and location. Each knitted strip will house a small label stating the maker’s details.
Send in your yarn strips to the following address (or drop them off in person to the craft centre office on the 1st floor) :
