So I suppose what I'm asking is - Is there a formula or something to use when you've fulled your swatch to decide on using less stitches etc. This makes following a pattern difficult.

Any suggestions welcome.

For the base I used the stuff that came off the flick carder. The cover wool was britch wool that was too coarse for yarn. The locks came from his back which has very tight coils, that I could have carded, but as I was carding them I thought, man these would look cool on a little felted lamb! And they did! I can't figure out how to get photos up here, but his photo is on my etsy site:

http://jen6265.etsy.com

Also, I have a great contact for needlefelting supplies, she doesn't have a web site that I know of, but if you email her with what you need, she is really helpful (and inexpensive).
Here is her contact info: Jen Setser, jensetser@yahoo.com

Thanks!

front load vs. top load

Hi there,

I am thinking of replacing my old top-load washing machine with a front-loader, but wondered if anyone has noticed a difference between the two when felting? Obviously I'm not going to be able to remove the piece before the rinse cycle (but I rarely manage to do that now) but does the absence of an agitator make a difference?
