Chiara: You are very lucky to be able to stay home with your 2 kids. I had to work when mine were small. Angela is now 28; Stanley is 25 and Katherine is 21. My Papa's family is outside of Venice - his father was a stone mason when he was young. My Papa came here as a young man (in his early 20s). He died when I was 18 (35 years ago). We don't really know too much about the family - I don't think men are very good at keeping in touch with their families once they move - he was 88 when he died

Chirara: I am glad you are healthy enough to knit. My aunt taught me to knit when I was 10 years old also. I have started knitting int he past 2 years after almost 25 years of not touching my needles. You are much braver than I am knitting pullovers - I have done scarves, hats and some lace. Am I the only one that hates charted patterns? I could probably figure out how to read them but I just don't want to. I much prefer the patterns written out and any time I see a pattern I like that is charted I just pass it on by.
