  • Bradford Count

The bradford count for fleeces is the number of 560 yard skeins that can (theoretically) be spun from a pound of wool top. My question: is the count for plyed or single skeins? I am curious as I was going to attempt to see if I can match a count for a fleece (just for giggles). Joy

It's something I noticed when I was crocheting with knitting yarns. It is also something I like to do when I make yarn for tablet weaving. Right now I am crocheting Creepy

I have three main wheels: an Ashford Traditional, a Majacraft Rose and a Louet Victoria. Each is portable in its own way. However, I take my Victoria EVERYWHERE. It is just over 6 pounds and can spin anything I throw at it. I took Judith MacKenzie McCuin's three day spinning workshop and was able to spin fine to thick. I can't say enough good
